Warragul & District Lapidary club will have a special 1 gram gold nugget raffle at their gem show, valued at $150. Tickets will be limited to 100 tickets, at $5 each.

Updated post, swapped out most of the backgrounds to better show the crystals and added a few more closeups.

Combined field trip to Mooralla.

7 people braved the heat to fossick for crystals, 3 from Morwell and 4 from Warragul. Some nice floaters were found and the only person stupid enough to dig a deep hole found some nice geodes.
The smart people sieved and specked in shallow holes during the cool hours (and the hot hours).
The weather was 35 deg c every day with a spectacular lightning show on Tuesday night. We are in the middle of the lightning photo. (Photo credit Jacinta McLoughlan).

The following crystal and geode pics are from my collection, some were found on this trip.
On Saturday night those that stayed up late (9.30ish) were treated to a sky show with some space junk reentering the atmosphere.

Our AGM is this coming Sunday. Show your support for our club and put your hand up for one of the soon to be vacant positions. We will be looking for a Secretary, News letter editor and an Exibition manager and we always need people on the fund raising committee and workshop committee.
So step out of your comfort zone and have some input on how our club is run.
