It is with great sadness that we announce Gippsland Employment Skills and Training (GEST) will officially cease operations effective today, 19th December 2024.

For 35 years GEST has proudly served our community, delivering programs that have empowered individuals to pursue education, training and employment opportunities. Our dedicated team has worked tirelessly to make a positive difference in the lives of many across Gippsland.

Unfortunately, due to the revocation of essential contracts, we are no longer able to continue offering these vital services to the community we cherish.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported GEST over the years from our participants to our partners.
It has been an honour to work alongside such incredible individuals and organisations.

Thank you for being part of the GEST journey. Together, weโ€™ve built pathways, inspired growth, and made a lasting impact. ๐Ÿงก

Gippsland Employment Skills Training goal is to provide and be the leader in our community for disadvantaged and disengaged people with regard to training, education and employment opportunities resulting in meaningful and sustained careers, lifestyles and general long-term wellbeing for individuals and their families.

We are not measured by employment outcomes however 2024 has been a focus on our current training offerings and connections/partnerships with local employers, including support to individuals thereafter - the number speaks for itself!

๐‹๐š๐ฎ๐ง๐œ๐ก ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐จ ๐š ๐‘๐จ๐ฅ๐ž ๐ข๐ง ๐‡๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก is a 6 week co-collaboration program between Gippsland Employment Skills Training and Latrobe Regional Health. The next program will be commencing on the 8th of October, class and on the job training will be delivered one day per week over the duration of the program at LRH. An exciting opportunity to get an insight into what it may be like entering employment at one of Gippsland's largest employers all while personally upskilling.
