An amazing effort by the CWA ladies almost 800 cheese toastie sandwiches made this week. 180 sandwiches made at our meeting for our Little Lunches program feeding kindergarten children across Morwell and Churchill. Then today 600 sandwiches for the Eat Up program with Morwell Rotary Club and thanks to Morwell Historical Society for use of the kitchen. Community working together.

Our 2026 Gingerbread House Decorating is proving very popular. Our two family friendly sessions have sold out. However we have six spaces remaining in our Adults Only session on the Friday night. Please follow the link below if you would like to get one of the last few seats.

2026 Blind Footy Tipping Competition, that’s a wrap!
Last night we celebrated the end of our 2026 Blind Footy Tipping Competition, and what a fun season it’s been.
Congratulations to our Tipping Champion, Michelle, who finished the season with an impressive 138 correct tips!
It’s been great fun watching the competition unfold, and interestingly some of our members said they actually did better with blind tipping than they normally do with week-to-week tipping.
The celebrations continued with a handball competition, a footy quiz, and a chance to acknowledge our Tipsters of the Week throughout the season, as well as our Wooden Spoon winner! We also released our final footy tipping newsletter.
A big thank you to everyone who joined in, had a laugh and embraced the spirit of the competition.

🍝 Pasta Making Night! 🍝
What a fabulous night of learning, creating and of course eating!
Our group got hands-on and learnt the fundamentals of making fresh pasta and delicious sauce from scratch.
The end result was a delicious reward for our efforts! 😋
A huge thank you to Lucy for a fabulous night, sharing your knowledge and making it such a fun experience for everyone.
We were also thrilled to welcome three Federation University students, who joined us as part of their studies to learn more about our community group and what we do.
Great food, great company and plenty of laughs, it really was another great social night.
Next month we reveal our 2026 Footy Tipster of the year! 👑

Team Green claimed victory, just edging out Team Red and Team Blue in a nail-biting finish.

This past week, we revealed the current standings in our Blind Footy Tipping Competition!
With just 7 rounds remaining, the race for the 2026 Tipster title is heating up. The trophy, the bragging rights, and the honour of being crowned our 2026 Tipster are all still up for grabs.
