Today, on World Foster Day, we recognise and celebrate Quantum’s incredible foster carers who open their hearts and homes to children and young people when they need it most.

We’re committed to supporting stronger, safer futures and today we celebrate the compassion and dedication that makes that possible.

There is still so much work to do to ensure every child has the support and stability they deserve. Today is a reminder of the power of community and the difference we can make when we step up.

If you’ve ever thought about becoming a foster carer, now is the time to learn more and be part of something life-changing.

As Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month comes to a close, we’re proud of the work Quantum has done to raise awareness about domestic violence.

From national conferences to local events and social media, our team has been actively advocating for change:
▪️ Representing rural communities at the Recovery and Healing: Striving Together Conference in Brisbane
▪️ Attending the Respectful Gippsland Let's Get Going Session
▪️ Honouring lives lost at Candlelight Vigils in Baw Baw and Latrobe
▪️ Working with the Rotary Club of Drouin to raise awareness, promote support services, and encourage community leadership

Family violence is an issue that affects our community, but together we can challenge harmful behaviours, support those in recovery and drive meaningful change.

Quantum was proud to attend the National Housing and Homelessness Forum, joining leaders from across the sector to tackle one of Australia’s most pressing challenges.

As part of the Day 1 morning Keynote session, our Head of Children, Youth, Families and Housing, Mitch Burney, sat down with National Shelter CEO Jackson Hills to explore how we can break the cycle and end the homelessness crisis.

Together, they discussed:
- What the data is telling us, unpacking key trends and the growing demand for homelessness services
- The ongoing lack of investment in prevention and early intervention
- Programs that have made an impact and lessons learned from those that haven’t
- The need for a co-ordinated, sustainable response, drawing on evidence-informed early intervention models from the Northern Hemisphere

A critical conversation on moving from crisis response to prevention and building a system that works for the future.
