Quantum Support Services' provide assistance with homelessness, emergency accommodation, long term housing and tenancy issues, family violence, crisis intervention, home based care and youth support programs. Earlier this week, Quantum's Head of Family Violence, Leslie Smith, and our Family Violence team welcomed Cindy McLeish MP , Shadow Minister for Family Violence Prevention, and Martin Cameron MP, Member for Morwell, for a visit and discussion about the realities facing services across Inner Gippsland.

The visit provided an opportunity to share the growing demand for family violence services, discuss current system challenges, and highlight the importance of early intervention and prevention initiatives.

We were proud to showcase Quantum's Adolescents Building Connections (ABC) program as a vital preventative measure that supports young people to build healthy relationships and reduce the risk of future family violence. Programs like ABC play a critical role in breaking cycles of violence before they begin, but continued investment in prevention is essential.

Thank you to Cindy and Martin for taking the time to listen to the experiences of our staff and learn more about the opportunities and challenges facing our region.

Together, we can continue advocating for stronger prevention programs and a safer future for our communities.

When the front door is struggling, the entire homelessness system feels the impact.

SMASHED is a research project that highlights the realities facing frontline homelessness services across Victoria and the increasing pressure on the workers supporting people in crisis. At Quantum, we see the importance of ensuring services remain accessible, sustainable and safe for both staff and the communities we support.

It's time to repair the front door and strengthen the pathway to housing and support for all Victorians.

Last month, Sonia O'Keefe, Manager Family Violence Specialist Services, and Tania Hancock, Manager HOF Implementation and Practice Innovation, represented Quantum at the Child Protection Forum in Brisbane, where they had the opportunity to present a case study to sector professionals from across Australia.

The forum brought together passionate practitioners and leaders dedicated to improving outcomes for children, young people and families. It provided a valuable opportunity to share learnings, explore innovative approaches and collaborate with colleagues who are equally committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.

We are incredibly proud of Sonia and Tania for representing Quantum, sharing their knowledge and experience and contributing to important conversations that help shape best practice across the child protection sector.

Imagine being young and having nowhere safe to sleep.

Last year, 15,000 young Victorians experienced homelessness. That number is far too high and it's something we can work together to change.

The Victorian FoyerInvest Working Group has united behind Youth Foyers as a key part of the solution, helping young people build stable, independent futures through safe housing and support.

With the Victorian election approaching this November, we're calling for six new Youth Foyers that could transform 1,600 lives over the next 10 years.

Because every young person deserves the opportunity to feel safe, supported, and hopeful about their future.

Our housing leadership team has been in Darwin this week attending the Australian Homelessness Conference, joining sector professionals from across the country to explore this year's powerful theme, "Disrupting the Narrative."

We are proud to have Cheryl Barnes, Manager Housing Supports, alongside Ange McNiffe, Team Leader Homeless Response, and Naomi Webb, Team Leader Tenancy Advocacy and Support, representing Quantum and contributing to important conversations about the future of homelessness services.

The conference provides an invaluable opportunity to learn, collaborate and challenge traditional thinking, helping us strengthen our approach to supporting people experiencing housing insecurity and homelessness in our communities.

By disrupting the narrative, we can help create more inclusive conversations, advocate for lasting change, and work towards better outcomes for individuals, families and young people who need support.

A safe home can change everything.

Last year, 11,000 Victorians aged 16-24 presented alone to Specialist Homelessness Services.

Behind every number is a young person seeking safety, stability and the chance to thrive.

Ahead of the Victorian election, the Victorian FoyerInvest Working Group is calling for a commitment to six new Youth Foyers, providing young people experiencing homelessness with the support they need to build independent and successful futures.

These funds will support our Family Violence Crisis Accommodation properties, helping us purchase soft furnishings and assist with the ongoing upkeep of the homes.
