Quantum Support Services is pleased to announce that we have been appointed as the provider of the new Victorian Renters Rights Program across Inner and Outer Gippsland, commencing in early 2027.

The Victorian Renters Rights Program will help strengthen support for renters by improving access to information, advice, advocacy and assistance, while also enhancing protections across the rental market.

This achievement reflects the dedication and expertise of our Advocacy and Support team, who work tirelessly to assist individuals and families experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Their commitment to empowering people to secure and maintain safe, stable housing continues to make a meaningful difference in our communities.

Congratulations to the entire team on this significant achievement and the opportunity to further support renters across Gippsland.

Strengthening foster care is one of the most practical ways to ensure more children can grow up in family-based care when they are unable to live safely at home or with kin.

That is why the Foster Care Alliance is focused on practical solutions that strengthen support for foster carers and the children in their care.

Better support. Greater recognition. Fair funding.

Stronger together for children in Victoria

One Alliance. One Voice. Better outcomes for children, young people and foster carers.

Happy Wear It Purple Day, Gippsland! ๐Ÿ’œ

Wear it Purple Day is about making sure every LGBTQIA+ young person knows they're seen, supported and never alone. This year, we want Sunday to be about courage, whether that's wearing your brightest outfit, consider trying roller skating for the first time, or simply showing up and making a new connection.

There are some extraordinary events happening right across our region this week, and this weekend especially, with so much to choose from. We're beyond excited to be welcoming community to this Sunday, from 1pm to 4pm.

There's an amazing array of stallholders, services and community groups getting involved in this special community event. Picture tunes, chats, nibbles, freebies and giveaways, roller skating and on-wheels activities for those keen to join in, and a genuinely good opportunity to connect and recognise this important day on the LGBTQIA+ calendar.

๐ŸŸฃWhen: Sunday 30 August, 1pm to 4pm.
Please note, early entry isn't permitted, so we'll see you from 1pm onwards
๐ŸŸฃWhere: Stadium 34, 34 Bell St, Moe

A huge thank you to Quantum Support Services our newest event partner, for contributing to our event costs. We're also so grateful to Gippsland Ranges Roller Derby for sponsoring our photo booth, Latrobe Youth Space for supporting transport to and from Moe train station throughout the event, and Stadium 34 for contributing to venue hire costs. This event simply wouldn't be possible without this incredible community support.

Whether you're lacing up skates, grabbing a cuppa, or just here to soak up the day, we can't wait to see you there.

๐Ÿ’œ Wear It Purple Day at Quantum ๐Ÿ’œ

Today, our teams proudly wear purple in support of LGBTQIA+ young people and the message that everyone deserves to feel safe, supported and celebrated for who they are.

A special shout out to Jessica for creating this stunning Wear It Purple display at our Youth Residential Building. The time, creativity and care that went into bringing this beautiful purple tree to life helped make today even more meaningful and sparked plenty of conversations across our workplace.

At Quantum, we believe diversity, inclusion and belonging help our communities thrive. Wear It Purple Day is an opportunity to stand with LGBTQIA+ young people and remind them that they are valued, respected and never alone.

Together, we can create a future where every young person feels empowered to be exactly who they are. ๐Ÿ’œ

We're excited to unveil the new t-shirts proudly worn by Quantum's Family Violence team across Gippsland.

What makes these shirts even more special is that the design was created by one of our very own team members, who can be seen proudly wearing it in the first photo. The design beautifully captures the heart of our work through the words:

"We listen. We support. We empower."

These simple but powerful words reflect our commitment to walking alongside victim survivors, providing support, advocacy, safety and hope.

Keep an eye out for the team wearing these t-shirts at community events, information sessions, and outreach activities across Gippsland. Be sure to come and say hello!

We are pleased to share that Quantum Support Services has achieved Bronze status for its Health and Wellbeing Equality Index (HWEI) Foundation Submission.

Awarded by Pride in Health and Wellbeing (PIHW), Bronze is the only status granted at this initial stage of the Index, making it a fantastic achievement for Quantum.

This milestone reflects Quantum's commitment to shaping a more inclusive and equitable delivery of services for the LGBTQIA+ community across Gippsland, while demonstrating our organisational values of respect, integrity and empowerment.

We are proud of this recognition and look forward to continuing our journey towards greater inclusion and equality.

Recently, we were touched to receive this beautiful artwork from a former resident of our Youth Refuge.

The artwork, featuring a vibrant purple flower surrounded by delicate butterflies and blossoms, was created as a heartfelt thank you to the staff who supported the young person during their time with us. Along with the artwork came a lovely message expressing gratitude for the care, encouragement, and support they received during their stay.

Moments like these remind us why our work matters. Every young person who walks through our doors has their own journey, and it is a privilege to provide a safe and supportive environment where they can grow, heal, and work towards their goals.

To the staff at YRB, this gift is truly a reflection of the incredible work you do every day and the genuine support you provide to our young people. For this resident in particular, we know they built some beautiful connections with staff that will no doubt remain cherished memories for life. The relationships formed through kindness, trust and encouragement can have a lasting impact and this thoughtful gesture is a wonderful reminder of that.

A huge thank you to the artist for sharing both their talent and gratitude with us. We are honoured to display this special piece in our Youth Refuge and will treasure it as a reminder of the strength, resilience, and potential of the young people we support every day. ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿฆ‹

What if one spare room, one caring adult, and one simple decision could change a child's future?

Children entering foster care need more than a place to stay. They need kindness, encouragement, and someone they can rely on.

If you've ever considered fostering, now may be the right time to learn more. The support you provide can help a child feel secure, confident, and hopeful about tomorrow.

It's always inspiring to see local community groups making a real difference in the lives of children in out of home care.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful members of Mirboo North CWA, who are regular donors of backpacks for children entering foster and kinship care.

Each backpack is thoughtfully packed with essential toiletries, a change of clothes and an activity to provide comfort and distraction during what can often be a challenging and uncertain time.

Your ongoing generosity and compassion are helping to bring a sense of dignity, comfort and belonging to children in our community. Thank you, Mirboo North CWA, for your continued support and for making such a positive impact in the lives of young people.
