WHAT’S ON // Okay, this is a pretty cool workshop for anyone who has a story sitting in their head and has been wanting to put it into words.

Art Central Moruya is hosting a Short Story, Memoir + Poetry Workshop on Wednesday 19th August, creating a welcoming space to explore creative writing and start turning those ideas into something more.

Got a story in mind, a memory you’d love to capture or simply keen to have a go at writing? This workshop is a chance to learn new skills, experiment with words and spend some time getting creative.

Led by tutor Paul Cullen, the session will dive into storytelling techniques like building a narrative, writing dialogue and creating characters and settings that feel real.

Such a lovely way to spend an afternoon getting creative, learning something new and putting pen to paper.

Art Central is launching a Saturday morning Lino Print Open Studio for members with prior printmaking experience, starting this Saturday 8 August, 9:00am to 11:00am.

Basic materials are included with your studio fee, with additional supplies available for purchase. For full details on what’s provided, check the event page. The focus is on creativity, community and continuing your printmaking practice, not commercial production.

Spaces are limited, so bookings are essential. Become a member through our website.

Short Story, Memoir & Poetry Workshop ✍️

​We are thrilled to welcome back Paul Cullen, whose writing sessions always receive glowing feedback. With over 40 years of teaching experience, Paul brings a wealth of expertise to help guide your writing journey.

​In this supportive, two-part workshop, you will learn how to build compelling narrative arcs, draft authentic dialogue, and shape vivid characters and landscapes across memoir, poetry, or fiction.
