Kiteboard for Life Australia ‘Kiteboard For Life Australia’ (KFLA) was established in 2014; its purpose is to increase awareness of depression.

KFLA's purpose is to increase awareness of depression & su***de and saving the lives of the SAVEABLE by circumnavigating mainland Australia by kiteboard.and public speaking along the way so that others may speak up, seek help and survive. One Kiteboarder intends to circumnavigate Australia; the longest journey ever undertaken: stopping along the way talking to individuals and communities alike. Ou

r focus at KFLA is Depression Doesn’t Discriminate (DDD). Depression and anxiety can affect anybody at any age and it is estimated over 45% of Australians will experience a mental illness at some stage of their life. There are many trigger points that cause depression, and there are many ways to recover and stay well. At KFLA we aim to get the message out there, if you or you know someone who is suffering from depression or anxiety we urge you to seek help. We want to support helping reduce cases of su***de by providing as much information and letting those affected know help does exist.
