ASTOT The Australasian Society for Tethered Oral Tissues (ASTOT) is a not-for-profit organisation

ASTLiT (Australasian Society for Tongue and Lip Ties) is a non profit organisation with a voluntary Board of Directors formed of multi-disciplinary health professionals with the aim of sharing up to date clinical experience, research and resources. Yearly membership benefits:

- discounted registration fees to our events such as: conferences and webinars

- quarterly newsletter

- access to our m

embers-only area* on the ASTLiT website (currently being updated) which includes previous newsletters and a list of useful resources and latest research

- support for ASTLiT’s overall mission and the opportunity to join our Annual General Meeting (AGM). Two types of membership are available:

We are incredibly proud to welcome Carole Dobrich, RN and IBCLC, to the stage at the ASTOT 2026 Symposium in Bali! With over 30 years of experience supporting families and a deep involvement in tongue-tie research since 2004, Carole is a true pioneer in the field.
On Saturday, August 29th, she will be kicking off our Shared Decisions session with her presentation: "Ethical Decision Making Related to Tongue-Tie and the Importance of a Multidisciplinary Team Approach".
As the creator of the Frenotomy Decision Tool for Breastfeeding Dyads and a founding member of both IATP and ICAP, Carole believes in the power of sharing knowledge through education, mentoring, and advocacy.
