ASTOT The Australasian Society for Tethered Oral Tissues (ASTOT) is a not-for-profit organisation

ASTLiT (Australasian Society for Tongue and Lip Ties) is a non profit organisation with a voluntary Board of Directors formed of multi-disciplinary health professionals with the aim of sharing up to date clinical experience, research and resources. Yearly membership benefits:

- discounted registration fees to our events such as: conferences and webinars

- quarterly newsletter

- access to our members-only area* on the ASTLiT website (currently being updated) which includes previous newsletters and a list of useful resources and latest research

- support for ASTLiT’s overall mission and the opportunity to join our Annual General Meeting (AGM). Two types of membership are available:

- Full Membership Rate - $100 plus GST
- Student Membership Rate - $40 plus GST

This year's theme, Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life: Strengthen What Works, reminds us that early recognition and appropriate support for breastfeeding challenges can make a meaningful difference for families.

Did you know? A 2025 systematic review including 12 studies and 8,538 infants found that 34% of infants experiencing breastfeeding problems had a tongue-tie.

At ASTOT 2026, international experts will explore the latest evidence on breastfeeding, tethered oral tissues and collaborative models of care. If you are not joining us at the symposium, you can now order the recordings online.
