D-Day on the 6th of June refers to the monumental Allied invasion of Normandy in 1944 (Operation Overlord), which was the largest seaborne invasion in history. Launched during World War II, this massive operation began the liberation of German-occupied Western Europe and ultimately led to the defeat of N**i Germany.
