Head of AFL NSW/ACT Andrew Varasdi said: “Mid-season entry is a fantastic way for kids and families that are curious about AFL to be introduced to the game.

“Our game is growing and it’s incumbent on the AFL to provide more opportunities for more people to be part of footy, despite the season having already started.

“What’s clear to us is there is a growing appetite for Aussie Rules football across New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. We’re buoyed by the progress we’ve made in bringing our game to more people in 2026, and are looking forward to continuing our efforts for the remainder of the year.”

We are proud to announce that our clubs have surpassed the region-wide Auskick registration record (previously set in 2023)! 🤩

This growth will establish a solid foundation of participants to feed into Junior Football for multiple years to come. 🏉
