Moree on a Plate is a Food, W**e and Arts Festival held in Moree.

Moree on a Plate, a signature event showcasing the delicious produce available from across regional NSW, whilst promoting the myriad of culture and talent that abounds across the Moree district. It is a festival of flavour where people can experience the best of Moree and the Region’s produce in one location.

It’s not all work and no play being on the Moree on a Plate Committee!
If you love events, planning or simply want to meet new people, or help contribute to our great town, the Moree on a Plate committee is looking forward to welcoming new members at its annual AGM, to be held tomorrow night, August 12 at Social Co House from 5.30pm.
We’d love to see some new faces on our fun committee, helping deliver an event that’s the source of great pride ❤️

Wall street, but make it Moree!

One of our region’s most exciting recent business success stories has been quiety building in the background over the past five years, and today Ottley - an agricultural finance provider specialising in tailored livestock trading funding - employs ten staff locally, and enjoys a national footprint.

Founded by Antony and Sally Glynn, Ottley Capital demonstrates that nationally significant businesses can absolutely be headquartered in Moree, and their recent investment in the old RTA building, which will be refurbished as Ottley Capital’s head office, further reflects the business’s confidence in the community.

Together with Glynn Agriculture, their rural agency and livestock business, Ottley Capital was a generous Dinner Plate sponsor of our 2026 festival, and we are so grateful to have these wonderful businesses contributing to the vibrancy of our town - sponsoring local events and providing meaningful career options for so many.

Antony and Sally have also been long-term volunteers at Moree on a Plate, Ant stepping up to keep the crowds entertained as MC of our BBQ competition, and Sal busy in the kitchen helping food prep for the celebrity chef.

McGregor Gourlay is a household name across many rural communities, and another great example of a successful agribusiness that started right here in the North West.

A privately owned rural service company employing over 170 staff in 17 branches across North West NSW, the Northern Rivers, Darling Downs and Southern QLD.
The business's origins stretch back to 1897 - and with Moree's Josh McGregor at the helm, family agribusinesses don't come any more genuine.

We were thrilled to welcome McGregor Gourlay as Dinner Plate Sponsors for this year's festival.

Moree Branch Manager, Mick Jensen said the business was proud to support an event that brings the community together.

More than ever, collaboration is key for rural community strength, and Hiringa Energy x Sundown Pastoral Company enjoy a powerhouse partnership, quite literally.

Together, Hiringa Energy and Sundown Pastoral Company are developing Australia's first renewable fertiliser plant through their Good Earth, Green Hydrogen and Ammonia (GEGHA) project - an integrated solar energy to low-carbon hydrogen and ammonia operation at Wathagar Gin.

GEGHA will produce up to 4,500 tonnes of low-carbon ammonia annually, displacing imported fossil fuel-based nitrogen fertilisers and bolstering regional agriculture resilience by creating a local production facility. GEGHA fertiliser will be used by Sundown to support production of its traceable Good Earth Cotton, with excess supply also available for other regional growers.

In addition to ammonia production, the facility will supply ~224 tonnes of green hydrogen per annum for direct use, both in emissions-free transport as part of Hiringa’s heavy-vehicle refuelling network, as well as on-farm to displace diesel in irrigation pumping, further decarbonising the agricultural supply chain from paddock-to-port.

This blue sky thinking from the heart of big sky country is the sort of vision we love, again demonstrating the strength of Moree's agricultural and natural capital advantage.

Hiringa Energy and Sundown Pastoral's community collaboration is equally considered, and we're so thrilled to have had them on board this year as Dinner Plate sponsors of Moree on a Plate.

How cool is our race course as a festival venue?!

Huge thanks to Moree Race Club - in particular, Michelle Gobbert and John Brown - for working so hard behind the scenes to help prepare for our day, and for your generous support as in in-kind Dinner Plate sponsors.

It's taken us a few years to work out the best lay-out at our new home, and we're getting very close to nailing it.

Couple goals!
Moree Real Estate has been a long-term Dinner Plate Sponsor of Moree on a Plate, and this year their contribution became a family affair.
Sandy Squared's wives, Ursula Bailey and Carly Cosh are both Moree on a Plate committee members, and these two couples exemplify the quiet contribution that keeps our Moree community vibrant.
This is Ursh's first year on the committee, and together with Camilla Cutcliffe, Meg Moses and Cara Moore, she helped deliver a re-energized and buzzing Kids Korner.
Carly is our go-to grants office, and runs the ever popular Mixed Grill BBQ Competition.
Whether it's through sponsorship or volunteering, all four believe it's personally rewarding, and important, to give back to Moree.
"It's nice to be part of such a great event that showcases what Moree is all about, not only promoting food and fresh produce, but demonstrating the greater picture in regards to the influence of agriculture in our smaller regional towns," Ursula says.
"I think it’s so important for people to gain a deeper understanding of what our community is all about, and without agriculture it wouldn’t be what it is."
"It’s more important now than ever that we showcase what regional NSW has to offer, which is why I think being part of Moree on a Plate is so important for our community."
