The aim of Scouting is to encourage the physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual development of young people so they may play a constructive role in society as responsible citizens and as members of their local and international communities. This aim is achieved through a strong and active program that inspires young people to do their best and to always be prepared.

🌿 Lest We Forget 🌿

This morning, members of the 4th Mordialloc Sea Scouts had the honor of marching to the Mentone RSL and joining ANZAC Day commemorations.

Standing alongside veterans, families, and our community to remember those who served and sacrificed is one of the most meaningful things we do as Scouts. Our young people carried themselves with pride and respect — and we couldn't be prouder of each and every one of them.

To all who have served, and to those who gave everything — we remember you. Today and always.

Sailing, teamwork and adventure — Scouting at its best! ⚓️

Over the weekend, 4th Mordialloc Sea Scouts camped at the stunning Baden Powell Scout Hall in Mt Eliza and sailed aboard the Sea Bird, a restored 1938 Huon Pine sailboat.

With support from Fort Nepean Rovers and Rosebud Sea Scouts, our Cubs sailed from Sorrento to Queenscliff — spotting dolphins and even taking turns at the tiller! Half our group sailed over while the others took the ferry, then swapped for the return trip, making for a truly memorable experience.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to:
⛵️ Fort Nepean Rover Crew (Rosebud Sea Scouts) — for skippering and mentoring our young sailors
🏕️ Baden Powell Park Scout Group — for the use of your beach hall.

A wonderful weekend of learning, teamwork, and community spirit.

Last weekend 4th Mordialloc played host to Sea Scouts from 1st Ivanhoe Sea Scouts and 1st Victorian Sea Scouts to undertake training for the upcoming sailing season. 5 leaders completed the Short Range Operators Certificate of Proficiency and can now use the marine VHF radios.

Summer, here we come!
