It was so very special to have three guests at our last meeting. We hope to welcome them again at the next meeting on Tuesday 13 October. Chris and Cameron will be presenting their contest speeches ready for the area contests on 24 October.

Guests are always welcome. It costs nothing to visit and find out if Toastmasters is something you would like to do. We meet at the Grant Road Community and Sports Complex in Morayfield.

It is a great way to build your confidence in a friendly, supporting atmosphere.

Our panel discussion about land clearing this week was very interesting and fun. Members and guests took on various roles such as developers and environmentalists and spoke from their perspective. There were some very interesting observations.

I had an interesting day at the Seniors Expo in Caboolture. I am always happy to promote Toastmasters and at this event, I was promoting three different clubs. Lots of opportunities to talk about the benefits of Toastmasters and show off a few trophies.

Last night was a special meeting. We met our new Area Director, Robinlyn who drove a long way to be there to conduct the induction of our incoming committee.
We have a strong team of experienced and newer members ready to lead us this year.
We were also privileged to hear three excellent speeches during the meeting. Lucia inspired us all with her amazing speech that demonstrated her compassion.
Kylie was recognized for her thoughtful evaluation.

We are ready for a strong year and would love to welcome guests to our meetings at the Grant Road Community complex on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.

We had an enjoyable meeting last night. It was run as a workshop to introduce new members to the skills of public speaking. We have been fortunate to have a good number of new members but have lost a few of our experienced members. The result is more new members than experienced members. Participation was key to the success of the meeting. Everyone had a chance to participate.
We love to welcome guests and look forward to welcoming some more new members.
We start at 6pm with coffee and chat before the meeting starts at 6.30.
