SPROUT AT KIDSTOWN | YOUTH EVENT
Last Friday week, Headspace and ASHE collaborated to put on a special morning for youth at Sprout. The presenter, Luke, a Bangerang man living in Melbourne was very engaging and
interacted positively with all attendees. He is passionate about healthy food choices with a particular focus on plants used by Aboriginal peoples for food and medicinal purposes. He
pointed out that it was important to be respectful of Aboriginal culture but also fit in with the wider community and other cultures.
He brought along some artifacts and indigenous foods but was very excited by what we had to offer at Sprout and took everyone around explaining about the plants. The youth prepared food for a
camp oven cook up using our fire pit. While it was cooking the group went for a bush walk to look for useful plants. It was a terrific morning.

SPROUT AT KIDSTOWN | MUD & MESSY PLAY DAYS
There was a good roll-up to last Thursday’s morning. We have a regular group of young mums having a catch up at Sprout and a home learning group has been attending quite often. Members and friends are invited to come along to the next two sessions before the end of the year. Tuesday Nov 18 & Tuesday December 2 at 9am - 11am.

Back Packs for children of families experiencing domestic violence - Winter delivery

Another delivery of back packs are ready for delivery to Marian Community Specialist Family Violence Service. 16 packs for children 4-12yrs. We hope these bring a smile to a children whose family may have needed assistance from the Marian Community due to a domestic violence situation.

This pack might be a very special moment when the pack is passed to them as their own gift, opened to reveal a few treasures and a few new essentials.

"Thank you Sunrisers for the fundraising you all do so that we can provide things like this for vulnerable children."
