A NIGHT TO CELEBRATE ‘BRAVE’
One of the highlights of the SGHS year is almost here.

This year’s SGHS Music Showcase, themed BRAVE, will feature almost 300 performers, including all Year 8 Music students, all elective Music students and all 10 of our music ensembles.

The program includes music ranging from Disney to Quincy Jones, Coldplay and Sara Bareilles.

The final performance of the evening is the combined item, What Can I Do? written by SGHS teacher Simon Fisher.

The song is inspired by a story involving former SGHS student and the first female Governor of NSW, Professor Marie Bashir.

Following a natural disaster, Marie asked a child if there was anything she could do to help. The question became the inspiration for the song.

It is a fitting conclusion to a showcase that celebrates not only musical achievement, but also the values of courage, contribution and community.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $5 for seniors, concession card holders and primary school-aged children.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Ticket sales close tonight at 11pm Tuesday 16 June.

Past students and parents, friends, and staff are welcome to join us for a fun night to raise funds to upgrade the science labs.

There are only a few days left to get your Trivia & Games Night tickets

We welcome all family, friends and SGHS supporters, including current parents, former parents, former students/alumni, and staff.

If you’re unsure which table to choose when purchasing your ticket just pick a mixed table and reach out to us so we can organise the best table for you.

Seating arrangements will be finalised after tickets close at 11pm Tuesday 16 June.

It’s just a casual night. Play games, answer trivia questions or not, enjoy a 3 course supper, maybe win a prize. Most importantly you’ll be donating to the science labs upgrade.

If you can’t attend the night but would like to donate, we are having a small raffle for the night.

Please book your tickets by 9pm Sunday 7th June to choose your entree, main, and dessert.

Meals will be allocated to tickets purchased after this date.

THERE’S STILL PLENTY OF ROOM at Trivia & Games Night - and every ticket helps.

Former SGHS families - we’d love to see you back.

Year 12 families - we know you’re almost at the end of your SGHS journey. Come and celebrate the end of an era with us before your daughters graduate.

New families - come on your own or bring a friend, it’s a casual night and you can join any table - either a year group table or a mixed table - this isn’t school!!

And if trivia isn’t your thing, don’t worry. There’ll be games, prizes and a raffle throughout the night.

Most importantly, every ticket purchased helps us to upgrade the science labs.
