✈️ Ever wondered what it’s like to fly an aircraft?
Step into the world of aviation, challenge yourself, and meet like-minded students in this hands-on flying experience.
Scout Air Activities, in partnership with Moorabbin Flying Services (MFS), is offering a 3 Day Introduction to Aviation program during the school holidays.
📅 Next program starts: 7 July 2026
(With additional programs offered each school holiday period)
Over three days, small groups of up to twelve participants will experience real pilot training at Moorabbin Airport, flying in MFS’s Piper Warrior aircraft.
👉 No prior experience required
🧭 You will experience:
✈️ Hands-on flying activities with qualified instructors
📚 Introductory aviation theory
🧑✈️ Pre- and post-flight briefings with professional flight instructors
🏢 Visits to on-airport aviation businesses and the Moorabbin Air Traffic Control Tower (subject to availability)
All activities are delivered in a safe, supportive environment by experienced MFS flight instructors.
By the end of the program, participants will have a clear understanding of what it takes to become a pilot, along with insights into recreational and career pathways in aviation — including VET in Schools (VETiS) options for Years 10–12.
👥 Who can apply?
✔️ Designed for Year 9 and older
✔️ Participants aged 13+ may be considered based on height and maturity
