About Us:

Kennerley Children’s Homes is a not-for-profit, non-denominational organisation specialising in the provision of foster, kinship and respite care for children and young people who cannot live safely at home. Kennerley has been committed to delivering high-quality Out of Home Care services for over 150 years.

We pride ourselves on partnering with our experienced and passionate carers to create safe, nurturing environments, ensuring children and young people are provided with the key elements they need to grow, thrive and reach their full potential.

The Role:

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our Therapeutic Care Coordination team, working across our Family-Based Foster and Kinship Care Program and our Interstate Care Program.

The ideal applicant will have demonstrated skills and experience working within the Out of Home Care sector and a strong commitment to collaborative practice. Experience supporting, developing and mentoring carers in therapeutic and trauma-informed care will be highly regarded.

We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team in the following roles:

- Full-Time Therapeutic Care Coordinator
- Casual Support Worker

About Kennerley:
Kennerley is a not-for-profit organisation that has served the community for over 155 years. Our focus is on creating therapeutic environments to enhance the development and wellbeing of all children and young people accessing our services.

About the Roles:
- Full-Time Therapeutic Care Coordinator as part of the Moving on Program (MOP):

The Moving on Program assists young people aged between 15 and 22 years to transition from foster, kinship or other forms of care into independent living. Young people live independently in a 2-bedroom unit, shared with another young person within a safe unit complex and assisting them to develop the skills and confidence to be independent and to achieve goals related to study, career, wellbeing and safe relationships, including maintaining or reconnecting with their families.

- Casual Support Worker as part of the Family Connections Program:
The support worker is responsible for facilitating and supervising visits for children to spend time with family they do not live with, within the Family Connections Program, ensuring that the care provided meets the expectations of all regulatory & legislative bodies.
