FAREWELL from FatCat
Hey everyone, it’s Cate from FatCat.
First off I’d just like to say thank you. Thank you to everyone in this community that has shown their unconditional support and enthusiasm for FatCat since 2016. When this non- profit charity was started, I couldn’t have imagined how far it would come or the limitless experience it would teach me. It’s taken years of hard work while partnered with the insanely generous Ulladulla Vet to help the elderly and needy pay for their vet bills. It couldn’t have been done without the ongoing support from Marine Rescue and countless other businesses and people in the community. Special thanks to Tanya from Uptown Patisserie for making dog treats, Hellen for making our knitted winter stock, Kim from Slow for making the T-shirt bags and running the bushfire bracelet fundraiser with us, Joe for supplying us with stickers, Sheila from Vinnies who supplied the T-shirts for the bags, Tracy who has been in support of FatCat since the beginning, Dave and Sarah who have donated endlessly to FatCat, Linda who makes the wonderful dog coats and shopping bags, Raine and Apples from Triple U fm who helped promote FatCat via radio, Goddess Day Spa, Nikki of Nikki B’s, Rebecca from Figtree Forest, Grey Dolphins, and Civic Video, Ulladulla Printing and Signage who supplied FatCat with all the Advertisement for the Conjola Concert, Steve Kilbey and Jacob and The Condiments, Milton Theatre Committee, Belinda from Kahama Park, Rotary and Cindy and Caz from Floorworld. (I’m sure I’ve missed someone. If you are said someone then I apologise).
I can’t put into words my gratitude, so it saddens me to say that I won’t be able to continue doing the markets or FatCat as I’ll be in Sydney at Uni as of next year. Juggling the responsibility of jobs, study and charity just aren’t in the cards for me unfortunately. I still aim to volunteer at shelters or something similar but as I haven’t found anyone to take over FatCat, I need to address the fact that the Ulladulla Wharf October Market (Sunday the 13th) will be the last FatCat stall. I need to completely clear out every tiny bit of stock so none of it goes to waste so everything will be cheap as chips and of course, going to the FatCat cause.
100% of the money raised has always gone to helping elderly and needy people pay for their vet bills, so please come on down and support FatCat and the community one last time! We will keep you all posted and cannot wait to see you this weekend. I’m seriously going to miss your beautiful smiles and generosity.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you again and again for everything.
Lots of love,
Cate from FatCat
