National Sorry Day 2025 – Batemans Bay

It was an absolute honour for Walbunja Warrior and the Mogo Local Aboriginal Land Council to be at the front of this year’s Sorry Day Bridge Walk in Batemans Bay.
The land came alive with fire, smoke, and ochre, marking the path with the spirit and strength of the Walbunja people. Each step taken across the bridge was a powerful act of remembrance, unity, and perseverance—a moment to reflect on the past and walk forward together.
This day stood as a reminder of the enduring strength of Indigenous peoples and the importance of truth-telling, healing, and connection.
