Play is more than just fun - it’s a fundamental right for every child, enshrined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (Article 31, if you're curious).
Play fuels imagination, builds resilience, nurtures friendships, and supports healthy development - physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively. It’s how children and young people explore the world and their place in it.
Every day, 54 reasons teams are upholding children’s rights to play, rest and create.... whether that’s at Play2Learn playgroups, creating moments of joy in child-friendly refuges, building new things in Hands on Learning sessions at school, kicking a footy with young people in youth justice programs, or connecting through creativity in our family support services.
Because play matters, for every kid, at every age.
Let's celebrate play in all its joyful, messy, creative glory. Let's advocate for every child’s right to play. And let's maybe even have a little playtime ourselves, for the child in all of us! 🛝🎨🌈
