Every day, all across Victoria, groups in our communities are fighting weeds and pest animals.

This is important work, which is making a real difference.

We are supporting their efforts through the Partnerships Against Pests program, providing grants of between $10,000 and $50,000 for groups to deliver projects over a 12-month period.

Applications for the latest round of grants are open now.

A webinar will be held on Friday 27 March at 11am to help interested applications learn about this year's grant process, walk through the objectives and assessment criteria and answer questions to help with applications.

How important are bees to both our native habitat and our agricultural production?

VERY!!

Did you know that we have over 2000 species of wild, native bees? Over two thirds of these species nest underground!

If you would like to know more about bees and how important they are, check out Wheen Bee Foundation

I was great to meet Fiona Chambers from Wheen Bee Foundation at the Colac Better Beef meeting.

If you would like to know how Landcare can help you help the bees, get in contact with us at SCIPN.

We need bees and the bees need our help!

Ensuring our food security, bees are vital to food production, pollinating most crops and supporting nearly two-thirds of Australia’s agriculture.
