Oz Fair Trade (www.ozfairtrade.org) is a registered charity in Australia that provides an online platform for socially conscious consumers to purchase affordable, unique and beautiful fair trade products. Oz Fair Trade is a certified Fair Trader of Australia. I founded Oz Fair Trade following a strong desire to "fix" the extreme poverty that I witnessed in some of the world's poorest countries. I
believe in fair trade as a sustainable solution, but I know that fair trade is only 1% of global trade and it is perceived by many as boring, controversial and overpriced, and even unknown to many others. So I want to build a not-for-profit business that pushes forward the fair trade movement and makes fair trade fun, affordable and desirable. The ultimate objective is to the help the people who live in extreme poverty to break the poverty cycle through their own hard work and talents. However, as a business, my first priority is to serve my customers and give them what they want i.e. quality, unique and ethical products.
