As we reflect on our recent Day Camp at Makybe Stud, weāre still smiling about the special connection between Maggie and Wishbone, Helenās beautiful retired racehorse.
With the guidance of Sean Henry, the āHorse Whispererā, Maggie was gently shown how to connect with Wishbone in a calm and respectful way. Watching her confidence grow and seeing the trust develop between them was such a beautiful reminder of the impact horses can have on the lives of children and young people.
What made the day even more special was that it took place on 1st August, recognising our gorgeous equine buddies on their official birthday. So, it only seemed fitting that we gathered around and sang Happy Birthday to Wishbone, who happily became the centre of attention for the celebration. š“š
A heartfelt thank you to Tony Santic and Helen for once again welcoming our KIDS Foundation families to their home and sharing their love of horses with our community. Their generosity continues to create opportunities for connection, confidence and joy.
