Two Victorian Christian school students have dedicated their time to creating special birthday packs for families accessing Salvation Army services. Amelie (12) and Paige (13) were tasked by their school to undertake a project which benefited either the school or community, or was centred on sustainability, creativity or STEM. Today is International Day of Older Persons.

Across Victoria, we celebrate and honour the older members of our congregations and communities. Their wisdom, faith, care and contribution continue to shape the life of The Salvation Army in so many meaningful ways.

Today is a reminder to listen, learn, encourage and give thanks for the older people who help make our communities stronger ❤️

The Victorian Divisional Youth and Kids Camp has been 4 days of action packed fun and spirit-led adventure. With over 320 kids, youth & leaders onsite there was so much fun to be had from the Overflow & Waymaker sessions to the giant swing, canoeing & colour run.

Our Divisional Children's Secretary Naty Keung & Divisional Youth Secretary Scott Keane led this camp with such joy, kindness and generousity - we have already started conversations for 2027 and we cannot wait to see how God's Kingdom grows from this year's camp and throughout the next 12 months before we meet again.

The Victoria Combined Youth & Kids Camp starts on Monday! 🎉

From 21–24 September at Phillip Island, we’ll be welcoming around 140 youth, 107 kids and nearly 80 leaders for four days of community, worship, fun and encountering God.

We fully believe in the power of prayer, so wherever you are, we invite you to pause for a moment and pray for our camps.

🙏 Prayer Points:

🎤 Speakers - Pray for Nathan Casey at Youth Camp and Beth Anstice at Kids Camp — for wisdom, clarity and that God would speak through them.

❤️ Campers - Pray for open hearts and minds to receive God's Word, and for every camper to encounter the Holy Spirit in a beautiful and meaningful way.

🫶 Anxious Campers & Parents - Pray for those who are feeling nervous or anxious, especially first-time campers, and for peace and reassurance for their parents and caregivers.

💪 Leaders - Pray for our nearly 80 leaders who are giving their time, taking time off work and travelling with campers. Pray for health, strength, patience and energy throughout the four days — and maybe a little extra sleep too! 😅

Thank you for standing with us in prayer. Let's prepare the way for camp through prayer and trust God for what He will do.

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” – Jeremiah 33:3

Wherever you are, let's pray together.

Today is R U OK? Day 💛

A simple check-in can make a real difference. Take a moment today to ask someone how they’re going, listen with care and remind them they’re not alone.

Because meaningful conversations can start with one simple question: R U OK? ❤️
