In Memory of a True Community Champion
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Lachie Rick OAM, one of our Life members of the Mission Beach Bingil Bay Progress Association—a man whose legacy is woven into the very fabric of our community.
The Rick family played a crucial role in building our community hall back in 1964, and have continued supporting the hall ever since. Over the decades, Lachie generously gave his time, energy, and wisdom to the community. Whether it was organizing events, fundraising, or simply lending a helping hand, his presence was a constant source of strength and inspiration. He never sought recognition, yet his impact was felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Rest easy Lachie, and know that your legacy lives on in every corner of Mission Beach.
