African Leadership Initiative Western Australia - ALI WA An African Leadership Initiative supported by the State Government via OMI to develop the capacity of both African leaders and WA based organisations.

The African Leadership Initiative (ALI WA) is an African leadership program delivered by MMRC in partnership with South Metropolitan TAFE and supported by the Western Australian state government via the Offfice of Multicultural Interests, to develop the capacity of both African leaders and WA based organisations. Each year, for the next 3 years, emerging and aspiring leaders from the African com

munity will be selected to participate in this program. The program is designed to deliver leadership activities focusing on themes of leadership and community projects. Also, participants will choose and complete projects that address identified issues within the African community as part of this initiative. They will be awarded a Certificate II in Leadership as well as be exposed to and linked with mentors from African and other community backgrounds.

Ms Fadzai Mamvura has been tenacious in her journey to re-qualify as lawyer in Western Australia despite the setbacks. It finally paid off! This week, on Monday-16 July, Fadzai got admitted as a Lawyer and Officer of the Supreme Court of Western Australia. Congrats Fadzai for adding to the growing number of women and African lawyers in Western Australia.
