Ishar is so grateful for the kind words. We’re so glad our team, and especially the doctor, could make you feel supported throughout your appointment, taking the time to explain everything clearly and answer your questions. Your comfort and understanding always come first at Ishar.

Fertility advice can be so loud online and it’s easy to feel like you’re doing something wrong if you’re not eating a “perfect” list of foods.

Be gentle with yourself. Focus on nourishing meals, steady routines, and getting support that’s right for you. If you’re worried, a GP or specialist can help you make a plan that actually fits your body and your life.

Have you ever been told you must eat (or avoid) certain foods to get pregnant? The truth is usually simpler (and kinder).

Save and send this myth-vs-fact to anyone who needs it!

Your health matters, and small, steady habits can make a big difference.

Here are a few gentle reminders for women’s wellbeing:
🏃‍♀️ Move your body in a way that feels good (even a short walk counts)
🥗 Choose nourishing foods when you can
☀️ Protect your skin (SPF every day is a win)
🌸 Prioritise sexual health and regular check-ups
🚭 Avoid smoking and secondhand smoke
😴 Rest well. Sleep is healthcare

You don’t have to do it all at once. Start with one habit this week, and build from there. If you need support, talk to your GP or a trusted health professional.

Social isolation can impact anyone, but for migrant and refugee women aged 40+, it can be especially overwhelming when rebuilding life in a new country.

Through Ishar’s Women of Many Nations (WOMN) program, women find connection, culturally safe support, and a place to belong. Demand is growing and we need your help to keep up.

We’re raising $200,000 to continue and expand WOMN. If you’re able to donate, share, or tag someone who might support, it all helps.

All donations over $2 are tax-deductible.

Refugee Week is a time to listen, learn, and stand in solidarity with people who’ve been forced to flee, honouring their strength, stories, and contributions to our communities.

This week, we’re celebrating courage, culture, and community and recommitting to a future where safety, dignity, and belonging are for everyone.

If you’re able: support a refugee-led organisation, donate, volunteer, share trusted resources, or simply make space for refugee voices.

We’re sharing a research opportunity for parents and carers of young children in Perth. The Flourishing Child study is looking at ways to support children’s wellbeing and help families find local programs and services.

Participation is voluntary, mostly online, and may include thank you vouchers at different times.

A big thank you to the City of Stirling for having us and creating space for these important conversations.
