Assalamu Alaikum.
Moon Sighting Australia has confirmed that the Hilal of Dhul Hijjah 1447 has been sighted in Queensland today, Monday 18th May 2026.

Therefore, 1st Dhul Hijjah 1447 will commence on Tuesday, 19th May 2026, and Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on Thursday, 28th May 2026, InshaAllah.

Please also note that Eid al-Adha is observed on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah.

May Allah (SWT) accept the Hajj of all pilgrims and grant blessings, peace, and happiness to the entire Ummah. Please keep everyone in your duas.

Ramadan Mubarak.

We pray that Allah (SWT) grants you and your families good health, strong Imaan, and abundant blessings during this sacred and mercy-filled month of Ramadan.

With great pleasure, the Australian Muslim Welfare Centre (AMWC) will be organising a *Zakaat Workshop on Saturday, 7th March 2026, from 11:00am to 4:00pm at the Centre.*

Zakaat is not merely a charity; it is a sacred obligation and the *third pillar of Islam*, ordained by Allah (SWT) as a means of purification of our wealth and our souls. Fulfilling Zakaat correctly requires proper understanding, sincere intention, and clear knowledge of its rulings and wisdom.
