✨ It's World Learning Disability Week ✨

A perfect time to recognise the importance of educating, supporting and empowering people with learning disabilities in our local community.

For more than 40 years, we've had the privilege of working with clients from the age of five through to adulthood.

Our services are tailored to help every individual live their best life as independently as possible.

We believe learning should be fun, engaging and built around celebrating every success.

Whether it's developing a new skill, building confidence in communication, or making new friends, this is learning at its very best.

So let's celebrate, show kindness and shine a light on the importance of inclusion where everyone has the chance to thrive.

What is happening in this photo? 🤔

A lovely young boy with a disability is learning new skills, gaining confidence, self-respect and self-belief.

He has a sense of purpose and belonging.

This is the outcome we strive for at our 'Together we Play' afternoons. 💛

The image is of one of our participants supporting our on-site cleaner. A simple task that means so much.

If you’re looking for inclusive, safe and secure support that truly understands your young person, we’re here to help.

Please call our team on 9603 7011 or email [email protected]

🎉 BIG NEWS! 🎉

One of our incredible long-term clients, Daniel, is about to do something truly inspiring; he's getting ready to be "Freezin' for a Reason!" ❄️

We're thrilled to share that Dan has been selected to represent Special Olympics Australia Team NSW, an amazing achievement and a dream come true!

To help make his dream a reality, Dan will participate in the Polar Plunge on 12 July 2026 at 9:00am at Gunnamatta Bay, Cronulla, raising funds to support his Special Olympics journey. 🥶

Your support would be greatly appreciated by

We're incredibly proud of Dan and all that he has achieved. His determination, courage, and enthusiasm inspire everyone around him.

💛 We love what we do, but it's even better when our clients love what we do. 💛

Jessica's son joined us for some fun activities recently, and it was fabulous to receive this feedback.

Our school holiday program is just a small part of what we do.

No two days are the same for us. From trying something new on the courts, getting creative in nature, bowling up a storm or practising real-life skills out in the community and through centre-based training.

We love seeing confidence grow, friendships being built, and skills developing.

If you’re looking for inclusive, safe and secure support that truly understands your young person, with specialised staff and support tailored to individual needs, and reliable NDIS-funded services, we’re here to help.

We offer support during the day in school holidays and afternoons during the school term, and would love to hear from you!

Please call our team on 9603 7011 or email [email protected]

A light background with a review-style layout. At the top is the name “Jessica ” alongside a 5-star rating and “1 week ago.” A speech bubble contains a written testimonial explaining that Jessica’s son joined outings for the first time during the school holidays and had a welcoming, positive experience. The text highlights that the support workers were enthusiastic, encouraging, and kind. The review ends by thanking Jamie and the team for their hard work and patience. Below the speech bubble, a short message reads: “Thank you to Jamie and all the wonderful support workers for making our experience so positive.”

✨ Living their best lives ✨

This is why we love what we do. Seeing our clients this happy is just so rewarding.

Our Peer Support Group had a fabulous day out at Dairy Road Alpaca Farm in The Oaks earlier this year.🦙💛🦙

From hand‑feeding the alpacas to learning all about these gentle, quirky animals, it was a perfect blend of fun, connection and fresh country air.

If you or someone you know is living with a disability and would love to meet new friends and enjoy unique experiences like this one, please phone us on 9603 7011. We would love to welcome you.

Thanks, and hopefully we will see you soon. 😀

Below is a description of the graphic for anyone who is visually impaired.

Photo 1
A woman stands inside a wooden animal pen, gently stroking the neck of a cream‑colored alpaca. The alpaca is wearing a halter and looks calm, its head slightly tilted toward her. Straw covers the floor, and wooden rails surround them. The woman is smiling warmly as she leans in close.

Photo 2
A different woman, wearing a dark jacket, is feeding an alpaca from her hand. The alpaca’s face is close to hers, and she looks delighted, mid‑laugh. The background shows more wooden fencing and another alpaca watching curiously from behind.

Photo 3
A man stands beside a tall, fluffy alpaca with a reddish‑brown coat. He has one arm around the alpaca’s neck as if posing for a friendly portrait. The alpaca looks directly at the camera with a relaxed expression. The barn walls and straw floor create a warm, rustic setting.

Photo 4
A woman crouches down beside a small, white alpaca. She is gently holding its face with both hands, looking at it affectionately. The alpaca’s ears are perked up, and it appears calm and trusting. Wooden beams and pens fill the background.

Photo 5
A group of three people stand together inside the barn, each petting or holding an alpaca. One alpaca is light brown, another is white, and both are wearing halters. The group looks cheerful, bundled in jackets, enjoying the close interaction. The scene feels lively and communal.

At Disability Macarthur, we believe every child deserves to feel valued, supported, and celebrated. Our young people inspire us daily, not only through their resilience but through their incredible kindness.

From sharing toys during play sessions to cheering on their peers during therapy milestones, these acts of kindness remind us that compassion knows no boundaries. 💫

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Meet Jamie! 🌟

We’re thrilled to introduce one of our incredible team members, Jamie Williams, our Peer Support Junior Activities Worker here at Disability Macarthur.

Originally from the small town of Bury in the UK, Jamie came to Australia on a working holiday visa in 2012 and never looked back. Now a proud permanent resident, Jamie brings over 15 years of experience in the disability sector to our team.

Jamie’s passion for supporting others began early in life, caring for his younger siblings: his brother, who has Autism, and his sister with mild cerebral palsy. That deep understanding and lived experience shine through in everything he does. 🌟

Outside of work, Jamie is a busy dad to four amazing children, including twin girls! When he gets a moment to himself, you’ll find him enjoying a walk with music, watching TV, or diving into a good video game.

Jamie, thank you for the energy, compassion, and experience you bring to our team. We’re lucky to have you! 💙
