π Week 7 Recap π
What a busy and exciting week we've had at YP Leisure Options!
On Tuesday, our cooking group got creative in the kitchen making a hearty zucchini soup and a healthier version of hedgehog slice. The soup received some mixed reviews from our taste testers, but the hedgehog slice was an absolute hit and didn't last long! π²π«
Wednesday saw us take a virtual trip across the Tasman Sea to Aotearoa (New Zealand). π³πΏ We learnt some interesting facts about New Zealand culture, geography, and traditions, including how to say "Kia Ora" (hello) in MΔori. We also celebrated Kane's birthday and enjoyed spending time together with Bowie, making it a very special day for everyone. ππ
Friday was all about our Annual Native Plant Sale, and what a fantastic day it was! π±π A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support us by purchasing plants, raffle tickets, or both. Your support helps make programs like ours possible and is greatly appreciated by our members, volunteers, and staff.
While the annual sale may be over, we're still here every Friday with great prices and friendly service. We have a range of native tube stock available for just $3 each, Quandongs for $10, and our beautiful hand-painted pots complete with plants for only $20. Each pot is an original piece of artwork created with care and creativity.
π Our Christmas in July Raffle is also continuing until 1 July!
ποΈ Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5.
Be sure to keep an eye on our page for future sales, nursery updates, and special offers.
Thank you again for another wonderful week. We hope everyone has a fantastic weekend, and we look forward to seeing you all next week!
