💧🌿 Thank You SA Water – Quench Bench 🌿💧

A big thank you to SA Water for the generous use of the Quench Bench during the Minlaton 150th Anniversary Celebrations.

It was fantastic to see so many people making use of the fresh, filtered drinking water, staying hydrated while also helping to reduce waste and our environmental footprint. 🙌

Small initiatives like this make a big difference, and we truly appreciate your support in helping us deliver a more sustainable event.

Thank you again, SA Water! 💛

📜✨ Family History Boards – Thank You & Collection Info ✨📜

A heartfelt thank you to the many families who created and contributed to the Family History Boards for the Minlaton 150th Anniversary Celebrations.

We were so proud to display them in the Minlaton District Community & Sports Centre — they were a fantastic conversation starter and of great interest to all who viewed them. What a wonderful way to share and celebrate the stories of our community. 💛

As we now begin to pack away and archive M150 items, we would love to hear from families who would like their Family History Boards returned.

👉 Please PM the page or leave a comment below, and we will arrange collection.

📍 Boards will be available for collection at Harvest Minlaton Harvest Corner & Visitor Centre
Please let the volunteers know your board has been placed on the “To Be Collected” shelf so they can assist you.

Thank you again for helping us tell the story of Minlaton — your contributions were truly special. 🌾

🌳✨ Her Excellency’s Address – Tree Planting Ceremony ✨🌳

A truly special moment of the Minlaton 150th Anniversary Celebrations was the address delivered by Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia at the Fourth Street Tree Planting and Plaque Unveiling Ceremony.

The planting of 15 trees for 15 decades, alongside the unveiling of the commemorative plaque, created a lasting legacy — and Her Excellency’s presence and address made the occasion even more memorable for all who attended.

If you were unable to join us on the day, we encourage you to take a moment to read her inspiring words.

📄 Her Excellency’s full speech is attached to this post for your convenience.

Thank you, Your Excellency, for being part of this important moment in Minlaton’s history. 🌿

Today, by witnessing the planting of these commemorative trees, we not only honour the past, but we also create a living, growing symbol of community…

✨ Thank You ! ✨

The Minlaton 150 Committee would like to sincerely thank Sheryl Glanville for her generous donation of 100 commemorative keyrings for the M150 celebrations weekend.

These were a wonderful addition, with so many people able to pick one up as a souvenir at the Friday Night Gala Event and the Town Oval Festival on Saturday — a lovely memento of a truly memorable occasion. 💛

Sheryl also stocks a range of items at Minlaton Harvest Corner & Visitor Centre, so be sure to pop in and have a look next time you’re in town!

Thank you again, Sheryl, for your kindness and support. 🙌

🌳✨ Fourth Street West Commemorative Plantation - Plaque Thankyou ✨🌳

Much time, care and even a little debate went into finding the perfect rock to mark the Fourth Street Commemorative Plantation and hold the commemorative plaque. In the end, the right rock was found locally, dug up, donated, and put in place by dedicated volunteers.

We were honoured to have Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia , alongside Progress Association's and M150's Committee member Bruce Cook, officially unveil the plaque.

The beautiful plaque itself was generously organised and donated by Iain and Christina McQueen, of McQueen Funeral Services — a wonderful contribution to this lasting legacy. We give them many thanks !!

This plantation will stand for years to come as a symbol of community, history and the future of Minlaton. 💛🌱

⛪✨ Sunday Ecumenical Service – A Time to Reflect ✨⛪

On Sunday 29 March, a beautiful ecumenical church service was held at 10:00am at the Minlaton Uniting Church, welcoming people of all faiths to come together.

With over 200 people in attendance, it was a truly special and uplifting gathering as part of the Minlaton 150th Anniversary Celebrations.

The service, thoughtfully organised by our local church leaders, was inspiring, reflective and inclusive, providing a meaningful moment to pause, connect and give thanks within a busy weekend of celebrations.

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to the Uniting Church and their committee for not only hosting this service, but also for delivering a wide range of activities across the entire weekend — your contribution was greatly appreciated. 💛
