Coeliac Australia Official account of nonprofit organisation Coeliac Australia - supporting people with coeliac disease

Coeliac Australia is a national nonprofit organisation providing a range of range of support and information services for people with coeliac disease or those medically required to have a gluten free diet. Our organisation:
• Represents a combined membership base of just under 20,000 people affected by coeliac disease or medically requiring a gluten free diet
• Raises vital funds to support research
• Raises awareness of coeliac disease and the gluten free diet within the medical profession, the food and hospitality industry along with the general public
• Works with manufacturers and peak representative groups
• Represent Coeliac Australia in all dealings with the Australian Federal Government and Agencies. Our organisation provides membership, support and information for people living with coeliac disease and those medically required to have a gluten free diet. Support is provided through membership, eNews, a quarterly magazine, information .seminars, gluten free food expos, support group meetings and a phone line.

What a weekend at the Melbourne Gluten-Free Expo so far!🧁✨

This year, we were thrilled to debut the Taste Lab - an interactive cooking experience designed especially for our little coeliacs and junior foodies! Over two action-packed days, more than 200 kids rolled up their sleeves to decorate cupcakes, whip up delicious bliss balls, and master the art of making fresh gnocchi from scratch. And of course, everything was 100% strictly gluten-free! 🌾❌

A huge, heartfelt grazie mille to Chef Roberto and Chef Antonino from Shop 225 for so generously donating your time, skills, and culinary expertise. The food was absolute chef’s kiss! 🤌🧑‍🍳

We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who donated ingredients and equipment to help make this experience such a resounding success. We couldn’t have done it without your incredible generosity.

Most of all, a massive thank you to our gorgeous little chefs and their families. Your joy, enthusiasm, and energy completely brightened the expo. It was a wonderful way to foster gluten-free food education and make sure our youngest community members felt right at home.

Day one of the Gluten-Free Expo at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, and I can see why the coeliac community looks forward to this weekend all year.

It's on again tomorrow, Sunday 18 October, 9am to 4pm. Enter via Concourse Door 4, and book online to save a few dollars on the door price.
