Millicent Men's shed Millicent Men’s Shed provides a communal facility for men of all ages in the Millicent area, where they can get together to work, chat & play.

The Shed was started as a means to promote and enhance the well-being of men in the area through social inclusion, health education and hands-on activities. It provides a valuable service, particularly for men who are socially isolated, alone at home or who just want to get together with other men in a friendly environment.

The Men's Shed caters for a lot of diverse hobbies for men. From craft and metalwork to gardening and cooking. We even have a model railway shed with a couple of great model railway layouts in it. If you would like to drive trains and build towns, in miniature of course, then come along to the Shed and see what we have. We welcome new members all the time.

Another great men's health session at the Shed today, with the visit of the Lifeline van. Jeff Hodge (Lifeline) gave a talk to the members which was well received. Then it was a look inside the van, which is a travelling lounge come kitchen for comfortable, quiet and private chats. A brilliant resource which they take out around the region every week.
The next men's health event will be a visit by Skylight, mental health services, in a month or two. Keep an eye out for the date.
And don't forget the Shed open day coming up on 29th March. All the Shed facilities will be open to the public with food and drinks available and a raffle with an ever-growing list of prizes.

The garden at the Men's Shed is looking productive. Most of the beds have been cleared of their winter weeds and are rapidly producing a bumper crop. Garden membership is open to all of the community, not just men, so if you have green thumbs and nowhere to employ them, come on over and work a garden plot.
