Sydney's rainfall at Observatory Hill has been above average every month this year, except for March, and the city's total for 2024 now exceeds 1,000mm, well above the average to early June of just over 600mm. (BOM, 5 June 2024) Our experience of previous wet autumns and winters is that the volume of produce is reduced.
Members and especially new members are encouraged to visit the garden on a Saturday morning to meet other garden members, to exchange gardening knowledge and to get involved in planting and harvesting! Drop by on Saturdays between 9am and 10am - there’s always a job to do and sometimes fruit and veg to take home. Vegetables are now harvested on Saturdays while herbs can be picked all week.
