A Little Ray of Sunshine Foundation Bringing sunshine, love and memories to those diagnosed with a terminal illness A visit to the GP for a bruise on his ankle became our worst nightmare.

In 2000 my husband was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) and today we spend much of time making a difference to others with terminal illnesses. After many routine tests, the diagnosis was confirmed! Darren had AML, an aggressive form of the disease that could take over his body within 8 weeks. With 3 small children, the youngest being 9 months, he underwent three rounds of heavy chemothe

rapy and many times he nearly lost his fight but glad to say there is a happy ending to this story. Unfortunately there are many stories that don't turn out the same way........

We made a promise in 2001 that would help others in the same situation...did not know how but we knew that any difference we could make would be something. As of today we have raised $83.000 for The Leukaemia Foundation, Cancer Council, Peter Mac and many other local families within the community. For us it is time to give back and make a difference to others. :)
