The Sunraysia Indian Association Inc.(SIA) is an incorporated and a not-for-profit organisation to help bring together Indians and people of Indian descent living in the Sunraysia region. Sunraysia Indian Association Inc (SIA Inc) was incorporated on 3 January 2018 to bring together all Indians living in Mildura and surrounding region. It started off as an idea after a cultural event to celebrate
Diwali/Deepavali in Oct 2017 and quickly gathered momentum. An initial gathering of all interested people was held at Nowingi place on 5 November 2017 to discuss and agree that we need to incorporate an Indian Association to serve the local community. The SIA Inc represents the colourful fabric of diverse Indian cultures, languages, regions and religions. The membership is open to all Indians regardless of country of origin or region or religion. We have a strong team of representatives from all different cultures in India. We govern this organisation professionally, with a corporate like management structure. We are a not-for-profit association that exists purely to serve its members and the local community. We hope to be of maximum service to maximum number of people for maximum time.
