The Sunraysia Alevi Cultural Centre was established on the 11th of July 1992 to preserve and modernize its cultural identity whilst integrating with mainstream Australia.The aims and purpose of its establishment was:

to protect and promote the Alevi cultural heritage and philosophy;
to address the social, cultural, and welfare needs of its community and to encourage participation, inclusion and volunteerism.
