Yesterday, Saturday 6th June, the society held their June monthly meeting. The appreciative audience (including visitors) experienced a wonderful afternoon due to Chris Cook's presentation. Chris had been part of the team who researched and presented on the Bruce McAvaney episode of Who Do You Think You are. She explained the processes involved behind the production and played the last section of the program which focussed on Mildura (where she featured). Thank you Chris for your entertaining presentation. It happened to be the 48th birthday of our society so a birthday cake was enjoyed by members and visitors at afternoon tea.

Meeting reminder time again.
Saturday 6th June at 1.30pm at the Carnegie Centre.
Chris Cook has kindly agreed to share her experience of taking part
in Bruce McAvaney's "Who do you think you are." Chris is happy to answer questions.
Bruce has a Sunraysia connection and it will be interesting to hear all about it.
Also, it is Mildura & District Genealogical Society's 48th birthday so come and
celebrate and have a slice of cake.
I know it is a long weekend but we would love a good attendence !

At our April monthly meeting ( thank you to those who were able to attend) member Wayne Hensgen was our guest speaker. He explained to an appreciative audience the use and features of the web site Find a Grave. It is hoped that Wayne can repeat this to a larger audience in the future.
There was also a belated thank you to Chris Celegon who spoke at our March meeting. She revisited her presentation from our Christmas function and explained how she was able to put it together.
Thank you Chris and Wayne.
