It was a pleasure to host Eve and support her learning and experience in the workplace. Thanks Monash University School of Rural Health for sharing 😊
We’re thrilled to highlight the impact of our Pathways to Mental Health Practice program, placing nursing and allied health students on mental health placements within rural settings.
A postnatal birth-parent group program developed by Monash occupational therapy student, Eve and Sunraysia Community Health Services occupational therapist Tanika Pillen, will become part of the ongoing suite of support offered by the The family & child hub.
“Having the opportunity to host a student who was able to collaboratively design and run a group that supports families' mental health and wellbeing through the use of occupation, including supporting mums to connect with their baby through play, songs, and rhymes whilst also socially connecting with other mums, has made a lasting impact on our service,” said Rachel Fuller, Sunraysia Community Health Service Manager.
Collaborative placements = real community impact!
