Bicycles for Humanity (WA)

Bicycles for Humanity (WA) How far can your old bike go? About 10,000km.... A bike allows someone to travel twice as far, twice as fast and carry four times the load.

Bicycles For Humanity International (B4H) is a world wide, grass roots, volunteer run organisation focused helping communities in need with simple, sustainable transport. We do this in the most transparent and practical way - by sending used donated bikes to our partner organisations around Western Australia and in various countries in need. A bike can mean access to education, health care, fresh

water, economic opportunity and a greater sense of community. Breaking the cycle of poverty by providing sustainable transport for one person impacts not only their life, but also the lives of their families, communities and future generations.

Day 2 (23 Aug):πŸ’―! Toodyay to Wongan Hills 100 km in the saddle took the team from Toodyay through Calingiri to Wongan Hills. Age is just a number when you have a missionβ€”and at 75-ish years average age, our riders are proving that pedal power (with a little e-boost!) changes lives. Every dollar raised funds shipping containers of bikes to remote schools, health workers, and families. πŸ‘‰ Support the ride: https://www.givenow.com.au/cr/geraldtoneventure2026
Huge thank you to those that have donated, $17,757 has been raised. Our fund raising target is $25,000.

Thank you to President Steve Clarke and all the members of Wongan Hills Rotary Club who greeted the team and hosted them for a delightful country fare dinner... perfect fuel for the team over the next days :)
