Bicycles for Humanity (WA)

Bicycles for Humanity (WA) How far can your old bike go? About 10,000km.... A bike allows someone to travel twice as far, twice as fast and carry four times the load.

Bicycles For Humanity International (B4H) is a world wide, grass roots, volunteer run organisation focused helping communities in need with simple, sustainable transport. We do this in the most transparent and practical way - by sending used donated bikes to our partner organisations around Western Australia and in various countries in need. A bike can mean access to education, health care, fresh

water, economic opportunity and a greater sense of community. Breaking the cycle of poverty by providing sustainable transport for one person impacts not only their life, but also the lives of their families, communities and future generations.

World Bike Day 3rd June
Belmont College is incredibly grateful for the bike donations B4H provided last year. The support made a genuine difference for our students and helped increase participation in riding to school and active transport programs.
Further supply of bicycles were delivered on Friday to assist students who may face barriers to active transport due to not having access to a safe and reliable bike.
Bikes donated will be distributed on World Bike Day.

Thanks to , Move Coordinator City Belmont College, for liaising with B4H to make this possible

Update from the Warmun Bike Project:
The 20 foot container from B4H WA was safely delivered to Warmun, where Chris and his not-for-profit Bike Creative have been working with school communities for the last three weeks.
Children, parents and teachers are riding to school, nurses, artists, police and youth leaders are on bikes and there is a real sense of happiness on the streets.

Huge thanks to all the donors and volunteers for making this possible - you are amazing.
