Our Place’s Carnival of Colours Pride Ball is on Saturday 14 November at Ellenbrook Youth Centre.

In the weeks leading up to the event, we would like to invite LGBTQIA+ young people and their friends to assist us to craft decorations, decorate signs, and assemble activities. No registration required, just come along and get creative!

Applications are open for the 2027 Our Place Youth Committee! 🏳️‍🌈

Our Place is all about creating a space where q***r young people feel welcome, supported and heard. And we want YOU to help shape what that looks like.

Being part of the committee is a chance to meet other LGBTQIA+SB young people, build your confidence, learn new skills, get involved in projects and gain experience. You don’t need previous experience, just a willingness to get involved and share what matters to you!

Freedom Centre is hitting the road and going out to Northam!

Happening second week of school holidays, bring your friends to their fun, chill event where you can craft, connect and eat free food!

🌈 Event Details

When: Tue 6th and Wed 7th October 2026, 10.00am-3.00pm (if you can’t make all of it, zero stress - come along when you can!)

What: Two-day workshop for LGBTIQA+ people and allies (ages 12-25) to craft, relax, learn new skills, and feel connected during your holidays

Where: Near Northam Boulevard to be sent privately to registered attendees

Free! Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea provided

We're heading towards the end of the year and have all the fun things lined up! We have back-to-back celebrations coming up with Halloween, Perth Pride Month and the end of the year/Christmas party, but also plenty in-between to keep you busy.

"Free Spaces" are sessions where we don't have a set activity, but you can still use the arts and craft supplies (eg. beads, paints, collaging materials) - just ask a Peer Mentor or staff member to take out the things you need.

Our Place's Social Drop-In is back on Wednesday 21 October with pamper kits and Pride Prom prep!
