Lightsource bp is hosting 2 informal community information sessions in July to provide the community a chance to learn, ask questions, and share their views on the plans for an improved battery storage system within the Goulburn River Solar Farm.

Wednesday July 1st - 3.30pm to 6.30pm
Thursday July 2nd - 7.30am to 9.30am.

No bookings required, simply pop in during their open times for a chat.

The Merriwa Chamber will be holding our next meeting on Monday 22nd June at 6pm, in the games room at the Merriwa RSL Club.

New members are always welcome. Please reach out and we can send a membership form, or we will have them on the night also.

Thank you to everyone who supported and donated to our Do It For Dolly Day fundraiser and Morning Tea.

We raised $2273.20 - all of which is going to directly to .

This includes a very generous donation from the Merriwa Tourist Welcoming Centre.

Congratulations to Carol, Kate & Jenny who visited from Denman, on winning our Best Dressed prizes of Why Leave Town cards.

Lucky door prizes won by Barbara Cronin & Julie Whitley.

100 Club winners were - 1st Robert Gainsford, 2nd Robert Smith, 3rd Mel Bates.

Raffle winners were - 1st Robyn Wightman, 2nd Karla Circosta, 3rd Vicki Byfield, 4th Cathy Constable.

We still have a 100 club going with NewsXpress Merriwa if anyone would like to purchase tickets. (this money has already been included in the final amount).

Thank you to the Merriwa CWA for allowing us to use the rooms, and to everyone who cooked, donated and attended, with a special thank you to Miranda and Leanne.

Come on down to the Merriwa CWA hall and grab yourself some morning tea. We are currently holding a fundraising event for Do it for Dolly day.

We have loads of delicious treats to go around. Grab a friend and pop on down 💙🦋

We want to say thank you to everyone who supported us so far by purchasing raffle and 100 club tickets yesterday and today, and of course to Robyn and Shirley who volunteered their time to set up and sell these tickets.

We also thank Upper Hunter Shire Council for joining us and changing the lighting in the Bettington St gardens to Blue for the week.

We also what to say how grateful we are for those who have given donations to this fantastic cause. Our aim was to raise $2000, and it looks as though we are going to exceed this which is amazing!

Tickets will be available on Friday at our morning tea too.

We hope to see so many of you there!!

We will be selling raffle and 100 club tickets TOMORROW Tuesday 5th from 9.30am to 12pm in front of the Merriwa Pharmacy.

Tickets will also be available on Friday 8th May at our Morning Tea being held by the Merriwa Chamber at the Merriwa CWA Rooms.

If you would like to purchase tickets at other times this week, they are available from newsXpress Merriwa and Merriwa Home Hardware.

Thank you to our raffle donors and to Robyn for volunteering her time to sell tickets.

If you can't make it in to purchase tickets, send us a message and we can organise tickets to be purchased via bank transfer.
