QCWA Mermaid Beach We are a not for profit organization of Women, set out to help in the Community. We welcome new members.

The QCWA is the largest women's organisation in Australia. Its aims are to improve the conditions for country women and children and to try to make life better for women and their families, especially those women living in rural and remote Australia. In addition to this the QCWA supports many charities and local community projects as well as providing material aid to Asia Pacific Countries. As a m

ember of the Queensland Country Women's Association there are an endless number of ways you can be involved with your community. Each state or territory manages their own office, and acts as a guide for QCWA branches across that state. From getting involved in projects, campaigning on issues or becoming part of an interest group, the QCWA Mermaid Beach Branch offers a diverse range of opportunities. Local participation can also include fundraising at events to sharing delicious recipes too! By getting in contact with your state office you can find out what's happening near you at your local branch and become part of an organisation that continues to build friendships and communities across Australia. We meet every Wednesday 9:30am til 12:00pm, come join the fun. Mermaid Beach Branch rejuvenated 9.3.2012 thanks to local media and strong community pride.
