The Vic crew were out visiting BCF stores across Melbourne today to kick off Small Change for Big Change weekend! Thanks to everyone heading down to BCF this weekend to stock up, and throw in some small change to OzFish so we can make big changes to our bay, and to fishing in Victoria!

Port Phillip Bay Chapter OzFishers!

We are excited to invite you to our upcoming Darebin Creek Planting Event in Reservoir VIC, this coming Sunday.

This event is an opportunity to strengthen our chapter community and play your part in planting over 10,000 seedlings for the 2025 season, facilitated by the Darebin Creek Management Committee (DCMC).

OzFish will deliver a 'fish hotels' workshop and participants will learn how to build one. The Fish Hotels will soon to be placed in the Creek to support important in-stream habitat as part of the Darebin Creek Habitat Project.

Event Details:

Date: Sunday 7 September Time: 10am - 1pm
Location: CT Barling Reserve, Darebin Creek, Reservoir VIC

Come Join us to improve habitat along the Darebin Creek with Plantings and fish hotels workshops.
When & where
Date: Sunday 3 August 2025
Time: 10am – 1pm
Venue: George Cct, Bundoora Park (NW of Bundoora Park Dam)

What to bring
Please wear: sturdy, closed-toe shoes and dress for the weather (warm jacket, raincoat, sun hat etc.)
Please bring: plenty of drinking water and gloves if you have them (or use ours).

We’ll be planting a mix of shrubs, sedges, and rushes between George Circuit and Darebin Creek (NW of Bundoora Park Dam), helping to strengthen the habitat
