🌿 A New Habitat Garden for Djerriwarrh! 🌿
Thanks to Melton City Council and the wonderful team at Eat Grow Garden, Djerriwarrh now has a beautiful new Habitat Garden at the front of our Centre!
Last month, local community members joined Jono and the Eat Grow Garden team for a Gardens for Habitat workshop, helping to create a thriving 25m² habitat garden designed to support local wildlife and biodiversity.
Our dedicated Good Thymes Garden Group will be caring for this space as it grows and expands. This is now the third community garden area at Djerriwarrh, and we'd love more helping hands! 🌱 The Garden Group meets every Tuesday and Thursday morning and does an amazing job maintaining our gardens. If you'd like to get involved, we'd love to hear from you.

🌸 BIG NEWS FOR OUR MENOPAUSE SUPPORT GROUP! 🌸

Our group is growing, and so is the incredible support available to local women!

💬 This Monday at 1pm, we'll be joined by a Community Health Nurse from Western Health who will be available to chat through any menopause, perimenopause, and women's health concerns in a welcoming and supportive environment.

✨ Plus, thanks to our wonderful partners at Melton Waves Leisure Centre, Menopause Support Group participants can receive FREE entry to their Peri & Post-menopausal Vitality Program, commencing 16 September. The program includes:
✅ 4 weeks of full Health Club access
✅ Weekly information and practical sessions
✅ Expert guidance on exercise and holistic wellness

Women's Health Week starts next week! ♥ This year's theme, do it anyway, is about taking small steps towards your health and wellbeing. At the Neighbourhood House, we're focusing on the Connect pillar and the important role of connecting with others to help support our health and wellbeing. The Neighbourhood House has two new and very special groups that have recently formed to help support women in the Melton area. Our Menopause Support Group and Ladies Lounge programs are just two ways that you can be supported and be around like-minded women in your area. Join in with a group this week!
