Forecast said rain, but the sky had other plans! Sunshine and blue skies stuck around for most of our hike.

This crew showed up with exactly the right energy — ready to have fun, push themselves a little, and connect with new faces, all while walking at their own pace. No pressure, no rush, just good vibes on the trail.

Stories were swapped, snacks were shared, and a few new friendships were made along the way. This is what Oot is all about.

We’re beyond grateful to announce that Metro Trains has awarded Oot and Aboot Outdoors a $5,000 grant to help us deliver camping experiences designed to support mental wellbeing for LGBTQIA+ folks — with a special focus on reaching people from CALD backgrounds who often face extra isolation and barriers to getting outdoors with community.
This kind of support means we can keep building spaces where q***r joy, connection, and nature come together — no pressure, no barriers, just vibes and good company under the stars.

Meet Andrew. He borrowed one of our tents for our Blackwood camping trip — and came back with a big smile and a whole lot of new friends.
Not everyone owns camping gear — and that shouldn’t stop anyone from getting out into nature with their community.
We’re raising funds to grow our gear library and cover transport from Melbourne — so more people like Andrew can just show up and belong.
