We receive around 30–50 calls each week from distressed parents (99% men) who have lost access to their own children. Sometimes the other parent decides to just take off. Sometimes the other parent stays where they are. Sometimes the other parent goes to police to initiate a DV order. Sometimes they don’t. Either way, the men who call us are in a state of desperation, torment, futility and confusion.
One of the questions that hovers over these men when they call our service is, "what's the point?”. To which our philosophy replies, either with action or words, that the goal is always to get what is yours — your right to access to your children. But our message is deeper than that, and it needs to be heard. Sometimes the point is not what you think it is. Sometimes the point is for the principle. If not you, who? If not now, when?
Keep your chin up and fight with whatever tools you have.
