Led by our Chapter President, Engr. Dennis Jose J. Dionisio, our officers and members have worked hard over the past months, giving their personal time and effort despite their busy schedules and family commitments.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the support of our members, advisers, fellow PSME chapters, industry partners, and everyone who believed in us from the start.

Five awards in our first 10 months is something we will always be proud of, but what matters most is the people behind these achievements.

The Zone Modelling & CFAST for Fire Safety Engineering webinar, held on October 10, 2026, at 3:00 pm via Zoo meeting brought together engineering professionals, mechanical engineering practitioners, and students for a technical discussion on fire safety analysis, modelling techniques, and their applications in building safety. The activity provided an opportunity to expand technical knowledge and encourage professional development within the mechanical engineering community.

The program commenced with the opening rites, followed by the opening remarks of Dr. Jame Bernard Itao, National Auditor of PSME. In his message, Dr. Itao shared key insights into fire safety engineering while presenting PSME's activities and initiatives at both the national and international levels. He highlighted the organization's continuing efforts to strengthen professional engagement, technical competence, and collaboration among mechanical engineering practitioners.

The technical session featured Engr. Clive Dayao, VP for Internal Affairs, PSME Australia, who discussed “Zone Modelling & CFAST for Fire Safety Engineering.” His presentation explored the use of zone modelling and CFAST in analyzing fire scenarios and understanding fire behavior within enclosed spaces. Participants gained technical perspectives on how these analytical tools support fire safety assessments and informed engineering decisions.

The program concluded with the closing remarks of Engr. John Paul Christian Benosa, VP for Academic and Student Affairs, who formally wrapped up the session and acknowledged the value of continued technical learning and professional engagement.

Through the presentation and exchange of expertise, the webinar emphasized the relevance of fire modelling in evaluating building safety and reinforced the importance of applying sound engineering principles to fire safety assessment and design.
