Thought of the Week
Shabbat Shira is named for Shirat Hayam, the song the Jewish people sang after crossing the sea.

The Maharal of Prague explained to the children that when Bnei Yisrael crossed the sea, even the birds joined in the song. They filled the air with praise, turning nature itself into a choir of gratitude to Hashem.

Shira isn’t just music.
Shira is gratitude.
It’s the ability to pause, notice the miracle, and say thank You, even when we don’t yet see the full picture.

On Shabbat Shira we learn:
If the birds can sing,
if nature can give thanks,
then surely we can too.

Let’s adopt an attitude of gratitude.
