💙 MENA Pathway Success Story💙
Another proud moment for the MENA community, celebrating one of our own rising through the ranks.

Former Melbourne East Netball Association Rep Program and Park Orchards Netball Club player, Abbey W, has been signed into the VNL 23U program with Peninsula Waves for the 2025 & 2026 seasons.

Abbey has recently been elevated to the VNL Championship Division squad, a fantastic achievement that reflects her continued hard work and development. She is now competing alongside elite talent, including former Vixens superstar Mwai Kumwenda.

Abbey’s journey is a great example of what dedication and opportunity can lead to.

Congratulations Abbey.

Meet the 2026 MENA Youth Leadership Committee.

This group of passionate young leaders will work alongside MENA throughout the year to help shape the future of netball for young people in our community. The committee provides a voice for youth members by sharing ideas, giving feedback, supporting new initiatives, and helping create programs that keep young people engaged in netball.

The committee also assists with MENA events across the year, helping create a fun, inclusive and welcoming environment for players, families and volunteers. Throughout the year, committee members will also take part in leadership training and mentoring opportunities to help build confidence, develop new skills, and grow as young leaders within the netball community.

They play an important role in promoting leadership, connection and positive experiences within our association while helping MENA better understand the needs and perspectives of young people in netball.

We are excited to see the impact this group will make throughout 2026.
