We talk a lot about independence.
But we rarely talk about what it costs.

Social cohesion doesn’t come from everyone “having it together.”
It comes from people recognizing that their lives are connected —
that care, trust, and responsibility move both ways.

Interdependence isn’t dependence.
It’s the system that allows societies to function, adapt, and recover.
Especially in migration, where social ties are disrupted,
rebuilding belonging isn’t a weakness — it’s a necessity.

The question isn’t “do I need anyone?”
It’s “where am I avoiding connection in the name of self-protection?”

Sit with that one.

Liminal spaces don’t look good on a CV.
Liminal space is when life says:
“Congrats. Your old self expired.” 😅

No clarity. No map.
Just discomfort, nervous system alarms, and the urge to control everything.

But the in-between is where the rewrite happens.
We see liminality as a developmental space:
where the body recalibrates, identity reorganizes.

Regulate first. Reflect after.
And when there’s nothing left to force…
faith becomes the skill.

Think of this: people gathering under trees, sharing stories, resting, creating, and breathing together.

We Gather in the Gardens is a series of free summer meetups— a space for women living in motion to reconnect through creativity, conversation, and belonging.
Each session will pop up in a different garden across Melbourne, celebrating the city’s love for green spaces and golden hours.

Once a month, we invite women between cultures to slow down, land in their bodies, and meet each other in a way that feels human — through gentle creative practices and real, unhurried conversation.

A space to unwind and remember that connection can be simple.
Bring your journal, your curiosity, and something to sit on.
